Country singer, songwriter, and musician Jason Guitar releases his new solo album, Tonkin, today.

Previously known for his 1999 debut album Black Hat, Jason joined the band Sample alongside Boyter, Greg and James touring the east coast working their own shows and also as a backing band.

Over time, the band changed its name to Bushfire, then to the Charley band.  Band members also changed a few times with the final line up including Brian K’s son Ben Kelly and well-known drummer Tony M.

Jason says 2021 is a new beginning for him, most notably with his new album release.

Tonkin is described as “13 rowdy songs” – all written by Jason “about living life and having a good time” drawing on his influences of blues and rock mixed with country or, as Jason puts it, “country with drive”.

The first single from the album is Pier Drinkin’.
